Blender Day 36 : Blender36 duplication and well example
Alright, guys, let's continue with our Blender tutorial. We've already made some progress with the model, including the stairs and the whale. So far, so good. Let's open Blender again.
Okay, while we wait for Blender to open, let me bring you guys up to speed. I upgraded Blender to the latest version, 3.3.1, or something along those lines. Blender is constantly upgrading, so don't worry if there are big changes. I'll make sure to cover them in our tutorial.
As you can see, we have this cube here. And like I mentioned before, we have this material preview. By changing it, you can see a preview of the material. Just scroll over here and you'll find a bunch of properties. Choose "Material Properties."
Now, this cube has a default material. You can double click on it to make changes. For example, let's change it from the original default material to, let's say, red. After hitting enter, the material changes to red. You can also change the material here, adjusting the color preview. It's just a way to preview the material, nothing too fancy.
To make changes in the material section, we need to turn on "Use Nodes." There are various options, including base color substance. You can even change the line art. Once you make changes in the material section, it becomes a material that you can apply or link to other objects.
Let's say you want to change the base color to red. You can even adjust the RGB values to get the exact shade you want. You can also adjust the Alpha, which controls transparency. If you lower the Alpha value, it becomes more transparent. Let's make it slightly transparent and keep it red.
Now, you have this reddish material and its preview. You can use this material on other objects as well.
