Blender Day 26 : Blender26 duplication and well example

Alright guys, so now that we've built our well, let's continue adding more elements. We'll start by adding a shell to prevent water from dripping down the sides. So, let's add a cube by pressing Shift + A and selecting Mesh > Cube. We'll scale it along the Z-axis by pressing S and then Z.

Oops, not like that. Let's try scaling it along the correct axis. Ah, I remember now. We need to scale it along the Z-axis, so we'll press Shift + Z. There we go, that's the right way to do it.

Now, let's apply the changes and move it slightly to the side. It seems the support is a bit too big, so we'll scale it along the X-axis by pressing S and then X. We'll make it 0.5. Perfect! Now, let's apply the changes and move it to the desired location.

To get a better view, we can hold the middle mouse button and move the view around. If we press Numpad 1, we'll get a front view. Great! Now, let's grab it and place it here. Hold Ctrl to snap it into place.

Once you're satisfied with the position, apply the changes.

Now, we'll duplicate it by pressing Shift + D and then right-clicking to place the duplicate. Let's move it to the desired location.

To rotate it, press R and then Y to rotate along the Y-axis. I think it should be rotated by 190°.

After applying the changes, let's grab it and move it to approximately the same position as the first one.

Hmm, it's not exactly the same. Let me align them properly. Ah, yes, we need to make it wider along the X-axis. So, we'll scale it by pressing S and then X to make it wider.

Alright, now it's wider and we can place it on top of the first one. It seems we've built a shed here, but it looks a bit unstable. So, let's add some support at the end to prevent it from falling down.
