Blender Day 37 : Blender37 duplication and well example
Alright, guys. Now that you know how to change and create new materials, let me remind you that not everything in your scene will have a material. For example, let's add a new mesh. We can add a UV sphere. Move it out so you can see it clearly.
As you can see, if you check the material properties of the UV sphere, you'll find that it's empty. It doesn't have a material assigned to it. Unlike the cube we worked with earlier, which had a default material available.
To add a material to the UV sphere, simply click on "Add Material." You can create a new material or, for example, you can use the red material that you created earlier. You can even create new materials by clicking on the "+" button. Let's say we create Material 0 and change its base color to blue. We can rename it by double-clicking or changing the name here. Let's call it "Blue."
Now, if you want to apply the blue material to the cube, you can simply change the material to blue. It's as simple as that. You can add, create, and change materials with ease.
So, that's basically how you can add materials, create new materials, and change the materials of objects. It's pretty straightforward and simple.
