Blender Day 20 : Blender20 duplication and stair example

Right, let's continue with our project. Open Blender and let's get started. First, let me explain a technique called duplication. So, let's do that. Press 'X' to delete. Let me open the screen cast so you can follow along. Okay, first, I'm going to add a plane. Shift+A, add mesh, Plane. Scale it up a bit. Then, I'll add a cube. Shift+A, add mesh, Cube. Grab it along the 'Z' axis, hold Ctrl and left-click to stick it to the ground. Now, let's scale it. Press 'S' and scale it along the 'Z' axis. Let's make it thin, maybe 0.1. Press Enter to apply the changes. Now, since we're making stairs, I'll make it a bit like stairs. Let's scale it along the 'X' axis. Currently, it's set to 1, but I'll make it 3. Press Enter to apply the changes. Now, if you press the number pad keys 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, you can view it from different angles. Let's use number pad 1, as I want to move it to the ground. Grab it and move it along the 'Z' axis, just above the ground. Great! Once you have that, you can duplicate it.
